Weltman Welcomes Attorney Matthew Covert to the Sarasota Office

SARASOTA - Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm with over 95 years of client service, is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney Matthew (Matt) Covert to the Sarasota, FL office.

Matt is an attorney in the firm's Sarasota office, focused in the Consumer Collections Group. Whether navigating complex legal issues or working through negotiations, Matt strives to provide clear guidance and responsive service every step of the way. Clients and colleagues alike describe him as kind, intelligent, and passionate - qualities that reflect his dedication to building trusted relationships and delivering meaningful results.

Originally from Southern California, Matt is a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan who enjoys spending time at the beach whenever he can. Outside the office, you'll often find him on the golf course or playing blitz chess, a fast-paced version of the game that challenges players to think several moves ahead under pressure.

“I am excited to be joining Weltman,” says Matt. “I’m looking forward to using my courtroom skills to advocate for clients and pursue excellence.”

“We are very happy to have Matt joining our team in the Sarasota office,” says Sarasota Attorney Scott Foeller. “Matt has a great deal of courtroom experience coming from the State Attorney’s office and he’s been getting up to speed very quickly. He has already taken on some cases of his own and is jumping in the deep end. All of us here in the Sarasota office are looking forward to working with Matt and are very happy he has joined our team!”
