When clients need an attorney who is detail-oriented, persistent, and committed to finding practical solutions, Matt is ready to help.

Matt always knew he wanted to become an attorney. After shadowing a family friend who practiced law while he was in high school, he discovered a profession that combined problem-solving, advocacy, and helping others navigate complex legal issues. From that point forward, he remained focused on building a career dedicated to serving clients.

Before joining Weltman, Matt gained valuable courtroom and negotiation experience representing the State of Florida in circuit criminal court. He developed a strong foundation in trial advocacy, serving as first chair in felony cases, ranging from third-degree felony cases to first-degree felony cases punishable by life. Matt passionately advocated justice and restitution for crime victims. Those experiences sharpened his ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and remain focused on practical solutions - even in challenging circumstances.

Today, Matt is an attorney in the firm's Sarasota office, focused in the Consumer Collections Group. Whether navigating complex legal issues or working through negotiations, Matt strives to provide clear guidance and responsive service every step of the way. Clients and colleagues alike describe him as kind, intelligent, and passionate -qualities that reflect his dedication to building trusted relationships and delivering meaningful results.

Originally from Southern California, Matt is a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan who enjoys spending time at the beach whenever he can. He is actively involved in his local church and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Outside the office, you'll often find him on the golf course or playing blitz chess, a fast-paced version of the game that challenges players to think several moves ahead under pressure.
