COLUMBUS, OH – We want to extend a special congratulations to Shareholder
Allen (Al) Reis for achieving 50 years of practice at the firm! Al is the third recipient to achieve this outstanding recognition – the previous two were Senior Shareholder
Robert (Bob) Weltman and his late father and Weltman Founder
Maurice Weltman.
When Al joined the firm in 1976, he was one of just 30 employees. In 1981, the decision was made to open a Columbus office, and Al was asked to lead the charge. He found the real estate, wired phones, and even moved walls – all while managing his legal practice and business development efforts. Al was made a named partner in 1994, in recognition of his many contributions to the firm.
Al represents creditors throughout Central Ohio, working with a range of clients, from community banks and credit unions, to some of the largest and most recognizable financial institutions in the U.S. He represents his clients through all stages of collections and litigation, to help them collect on loans, B2B trade debt, credit cards, fraud, and many other types of commercial debt, as well as managing the firm’s national replevin and collateral recovery network.
See the video below of a special celebration we had for Al in the Columbus office this past month with Bob Weltman and Managing Partner Chuck Pona:
