Chuck always knew he wanted to become an attorney, dating back to his high school days. But not even he could have predicted that, 40 years later, he’d be a leader in the same firm he joined shortly out of law school. It’s not often that you find someone with that kind of tenure, and that kind of commitment. But that’s what you get when you partner with Chuck. His unparalleled sense of loyalty is felt by his colleagues within the firm, as well as by the clients he serves – many of whom today are the very same clients he served four decades ago.
Whether they are a large corporation with high volumes of consumer files, or an insurance carrier looking for reimbursement on a subrogation claim, Chuck treats each and every one of his clients with a high degree of care and attention. He understands their need to collect the most they possibly can on their delinquent accounts and claims, and he makes it his mission to execute a thoughtful, organized, and successful recovery plan.
In 2021, Chuck transitioned into his current role of managing partner. He previously led Weltman’s largest practice area, Consumer Collections, and served as a mentor for the firm’s attorneys across many different areas, including subrogation, collateral recovery, and probate recovery. As a member of the firm’s management committee, he is in part responsible for key financial decisions and the overarching business strategy. Chuck is also a leader within the larger credit and collections industry, and has held many notable positions over the years, including his current seat on the Collections Advisory Board for TransUnion, one of the largest credit bureaus in the country. In his free time, Chuck enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and being outdoors.
