Celebrating 95 Years of Service, Strength, and Shared Success

As 2025 comes to a close, Weltman is proud to celebrate an extraordinary milestone: 95 years of serving clients with dedication, innovation, and integrity. Since opening our doors in 1930, our firm has grown, adapted, and evolved alongside the industries and communities we serve—yet our commitment to excellence has remained constant.

Reflecting on 95 Years of Progress

Ninety-five years is more than a number. It represents the work of generations of attorneys, professionals, and clients who have shaped our firm into what it is today. As we look back, we’re reminded of just how much the world has changed since our founding year.

To put 1930 into perspective, here are a few snapshots from the year Weltman began:

What Else Happened in 1930?

  • The chocolate chip cookie was invented
  • Pluto was discovered
  • The first Mickey Mouse comic strip debuted
  • The first female flight attendant took flight
  • Scotch tape hit the market
  • Construction began on the Hoover Dam and the Empire State Building
  • Gandhi was Time Magazine’s “Man of the Year”
  • Twinkies were introduced
  • KFC was founded
  • Babe Ruth earned more than the U.S. President—and famously quipped, “I had a better year”
  • The Philadelphia Athletics won the World Series

A Look at Everyday Life in 1930

  • New house: $3,900
  • Dozen eggs: $0.18
  • Loaf of bread: $0.09
  • Gallon of gasoline: $0.26
  • Cleveland’s population: 900,429

The contrast between then and now is striking. And yet, through decades of economic cycles, industry shifts, regulatory changes, and technological transformation, our mission has stayed the same: to serve our clients with unwavering commitment and exceptional results.

Looking Forward to the Next Chapter

As we celebrate 95 years, we extend our sincere gratitude to the clients and partners who have trusted us to represent their interests, protect their rights, and help them navigate an increasingly complex legal landscape. Your partnership makes our legacy meaningful.

We enter our 96th year with the same values we were founded on: professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and a relentless commitment to serving creditors with excellence.

Thank you for being part of our story.
