Cameron Deane Announced as New Office Managing Attorney for Weltman in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA -- Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors’ rights law firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of attorney Cameron Deane as the new Office Managing Attorney (OMA) in the firm’s Philadelphia, PA office. Cameron succeeds shareholder Michael Dougherty who led the Philly office as OMA for 20 years.

With over a decade of experience in the legal field, Cameron joined the firm’s Philadelphia office in April of 2022. Cameron is an experienced courtroom litigator, dedicating the majority of his practice to subrogation, as well as a variety of contested and complex collection matters. In addition, Cameron also represents creditors in bankruptcy proceedings in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Having a thorough understanding of the litigation process in both jurisdictions, he is able to provide his clients a detailed roadmap of their litigation options, and when the best result may not be found in the courtroom, he provides advice on practical collection strategies.

When asked about this shift in leadership, Michael Dougherty stated, “The Philadelphia office has seen tremendous growth over the past 20 years through the dedication and hard work of many. Cam is the right person to now build upon and continue that growth. I look forward to seeing and participating in Cam’s vision for the office over the next 20 years.”

“I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to contributing to the success and growth the Philadelphia office has seen under Michael Dougherty’s excellent leadership,” says Cameron. “I am excited to step into this leadership role and be a resource for the hard-working employees of the Philadelphia office, all of whom are great people that make our office a fun and enjoyable workplace. Mike has put together an incredible team and work environment that I have had the privilege to be a part of these last few years, and I hope to continue and build upon his hard work.”
