Ted has dedicated his entire career to the field of subrogation and recovery, building extensive experience across almost every type of subrogation claim. His practice matters range from automobile accidents and insurance fraud to complex litigation involving product defects, fire losses, and other high-exposure claims. Through decades of hands-on experience, Ted has earned a reputation as a trusted authority in the field. Clients, fellow attorneys, and industry professionals regularly seek his insight and interpretation of complex legal issues, relying on his practical judgment and deep understanding of subrogation law.

Ted applies that experience in his role as the Chair of Weltman’s Subrogation Practice Group. He works with clients to make sure our team is providing top notch legal representation and customer service.

Ted also serves as the managing attorney for Weltman’s Cleveland, Ohio office. In his role, he is responsible for spearheading the employee engagement committee and other office-specific initiatives that help shape the culture of the firm.

Ted is a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP), where he was conferred the Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional (CSRP)® Designation. In addition to meeting stringent academic and experience requirements, those possessing the designation are bound by the Code of Professional Ethics of Certified Subrogation Recovery Professionals. 

Ted grew up in a large family in a suburb of Cleveland; he is one of eight children! He is a huge sports fan and enjoys watching all of the Cleveland teams. Ted recently earned his black belt in Taekwondo! In his free time, he plays golf and roots on all of the Cleveland sports teams.
