Two Weltman Attorneys Selected as 2021 Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Stars

CHICAGO — Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm in its 90th year of client service, is honored to announce the selection of two of its attorneys to the 2021 Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. 

Charles (Drew) Walgreen: Drew’s practice areas include commercial collections, consumer collections, and real estate default. He is admitted in the states of Florida, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Drew has been named as a Rising Star consecutively since 2018. 

Laura Alms: Laura practices in the firm’s Consumer Collections Group, with specific focus areas of subrogation and education loan recovery. She is admitted in the state of Illinois. This marks her first year being named as a Rising Star.

Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a research-driven, peer-influenced rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Attorneys are selected from more than 70 practice areas and all firm sizes, assuring a credible and relevant annual list. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes peer nominations, independent research by Super Lawyers, and evaluations from a highly credentialed panel of attorneys.  

The list of Rising Stars is comprised of attorneys 40 years old or younger, who have been in practice for 10 years or fewer, and represents no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state.
