The Real Estate Default Group (REDG) of Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A., the nation’s largest creditors’ rights law firm based on revenue and placements according to Collections & Credit Risk magazine, welcomes new associates Alan C. Kingsley and Cheryl L. Burm to the Ft. Lauderdale office.
Alan C. Kingsley will focus on foreclosure services as he joins the REDG Ft. Lauderdale, FL office with nearly 4 years of creditors’ rights experience, handling contested and uncontested foreclosure matters and collections work. Mr. Kingsley earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2007, Doctorate and Master’s Degrees in Philosophy from the University of Oxford in 2003 and 2000, as well as his B.A. magna cum laude from Williams College in 1998. A member of the American Bar Association, Mr. Kingsley is licensed in the state courts of Florida.
Cheryl L. Burm will also focus on foreclosure services within the REDG Ft. Lauderdale, FL office. Ms. Burm earned her LL.M in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law in 2003, J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2001 (Dean’s List, 2001), and her B.S. in Legal Studies and Political Science from the University of Buffalo in 1996. A member of the Florida, Broward County and Dade County Bar Associations, Ms. Burm is licensed in the state courts of Florida. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court (Southern & Northern Districts of FL).
