Shareholder Scott Weltman is Named as Weltman Probate Recovery Group Chair

Based out of the firm’s Cleveland office, Scott has been with Weltman for nearly 30 years. In the early ’90s, Scott helped to develop the firm’s Probate Recovery practice area. He has now returned to his position as chair of the Probate Recovery Group, where he leads Weltman's probate litigation and defense services. Along with probate recovery, Scott’s focus areas also include commercial collections and consumer collections.

“I am excited to be once again working directly with our experienced and dedicated group of probate estate recovery specialists,” says Scott. “A large part of my career at Weltman has included representing creditors in estate matters. I look forward to growing our practice and continuing to help current and new clients of the firm.”

Scott earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California, then enrolled in law school shortly after. After achieving his J.D., he returned to Ohio and joined the firm to work alongside his father and mentor, Bob Weltman. He became a shareholder in 1996 and was elected managing shareholder from 2012-2020.
