Weltman Attorney Named to the 2023 Illinois Super Lawyer's Rising Star List

Topics: Awards

CHICAGO — Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm with over 92 years of client service, is honored to announce that attorney Laura Alms has been named to the 2023 Illinois Super Lawyer’s Rising Star list.

Laura practices in the firm’s Consumer Collections Group, with specific focus areas of subrogation and education loan recovery. She is admitted in the state of Illinois. This marks the third year in a row that Laura has been named as a Rising Star.

“We are thrilled that Laura continues to be recognized for her excellent work,” says shareholder and the firm’s Chicago office managing attorney Casey Hicks. “She is a great asset to our team at Weltman and we congratulate her on this achievement!”

Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Because of this rigorous selection process, only 5% of all practicing lawyers are selected to the Super Lawyers list for their region and practice area. Additionally, only 2.5% of all attorneys under age 40 will be selected to the relevant Rising Stars list each year.

Congratulations to every attorney selected to the Illinois Super Lawyer and Rising Star lists!
