Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm with over 90 years of client service, is pleased to announce that manager of human resources, Lauren Ferguson, has been nominated for Crain’s Cleveland Business Excellence in HR Awards. This annual program is designed to honor Northeast Ohio’s outstanding human resources executives and teams. In 2016, Lauren joined the firm as a human resource business partner and was later promoted to manager of human resources in 2018. Lauren excelled in her role, and in 2019, she won the prestigious Valega Award, which is Weltman’s employee of the year award that recognizes employees who best embody the firm’s values.

“I am so honored to be nominated for the Excellence in HR Awards, says Lauren. “My passion has always been to meet people where they are and try to help them in the best way possible, while also supporting the needs of the business.”

“Lauren is able to energize and inspire the team with her commitment to the firm and her incredible leadership qualities,” says Lori Swain, Weltman’s director of human resources. “With a background in psychology and labor relations, you can count on Lauren to provide stellar counsel and quality output on any project or daily work she undertakes. She’s creative and innovative and provides leadership in everything we accomplish in human resources.”
