Ted Traut Announced as New Office Managing Attorney for Weltman in Cleveland

Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors’ rights law firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ted Traut as the new Office Managing Attorney (OMA) in Cleveland. Ted will continue his practice in consumer collections, focusing on subrogation, while taking on this new role to grow the firm’s presence in the Cleveland market.

Ted has been an attorney for over 20 years, working in the subrogation and recovery industry, handling everything from consumer debts and automobile accident cases to complex litigation cases such as product defects or fire losses. He earned his B.S. in advertising at Kent State University in 1995 and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2000. Ted is licensed in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and he is admitted to practice before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. In this new role as OMA, Ted is responsible for spearheading the employee engagement committee and other office-specific initiatives that help shape the culture of the firm.

“I am really excited to grow into this new role and continue the work that my predecessor, David Head, was doing,” says Ted. “I am particularly excited to work with our employee engagement committee and all of our passionate employees that make this such a fun place to work. It’s our people that make us a leading creditors’ rights law firm.” Congratulations Ted!
