Debt Collection Recovery Solutions: Recent Webinar Perspective From a Law Clerk

The seventh episode of Weltman’s popular Coffee with Casey webinar series focused on finding the right debt collection recovery solution. Now, Weltman’s law clerk Sharon Miller is sharing her feedback from this interactive event! When we asked Sharon about her time at Weltman, she responded “I wanted to work at Weltman because I knew I would gain exposure to the laws regarding financial institutions and have a great learning experience. I am having a wonderful time so far and have already worked on so many interesting projects!”
The webinar featured panelist Randy Hultgren, who is president and CEO of the Illinois Bankers Association. Shareholder, host, and Chicago office managing attorney Casey Hicks started the segment by inviting those tuning in to share the type of coffee that they were drinking, setting the tone of the webinar to be welcoming and easy-going.

A key to providing an understanding of the topic were the visual aids. The presentation slides were detailed enough to educate the audience and concise enough to provide a clear understanding of the topics. Due to time restraints, some of the planned topics were not covered, but the slides provided a comprehensive overview of those topics.

A highlight of the webinar was its interactive setup. Viewers could send in their questions about the presentation or general questions about the covered topics. This setup allowed viewers to be a part of the webinar and have their ideas integrated into the presentation. Additionally, the setup allowed other viewers to understand the presentation takeaways and their day-to-day effects, as they could observe the thoughts that other audience members had. Overall, the atmosphere made it informative and interesting. I am looking forward to the next episode of this series as well as the other amazing webinars that Weltman has to offer!
