CLEVELAND -- Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm with over 95 years of client service, is proud to announce that Senior Shareholder
Robert (Bob) Weltman has been elected into the prestigious
Society of Benchers at
Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
The Society of Benchers, established in 1962, honors Case Western Reserve University School of Law graduates who have exceptionally distinguished themselves in their professions and communities, thereby bringing honor to the law school. Each year, the Society inducts new members recognized for their extraordinary dedication to community welfare and an enduring commitment to the highest principles of the legal profession.
Bob, a 1965 graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law, began his career in 1962 when he joined his father at the then-small Cleveland law firm of
Gardner, Spilka and Weltman. Taking on the firm’s modest collection department, Bob pioneered a new concept: combining a collection agency within a creditors’ rights law firm. Through his vision and leadership, that department grew into what is now Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, one of the nation’s most respected creditors’ rights firms, celebrating its 95
th anniversary this year.
Throughout his career, Bob has served as a mentor to hundreds of attorneys, many of whom continue to shape the practice of creditors’ rights law today. He remains committed to advancing the legal profession through his volunteer work with the Ohio State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Program. Beyond the practice of law, Bob has contributed significantly to the Northeast Ohio community, serving on the Board of Directors for The Cleveland Pops Orchestra and maintaining longtime membership in the City Club of Cleveland.
Bob will be celebrated for this prestigious award at a dinner and induction ceremony on September 19, 2025 at Case Western. Congratulations, Bob, on this well-deserved achievement!
