Attorney Andrew Condiles Featured in York County Bar Association Legal Notice

- Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm with over 92 years of client service, is pleased to announce that attorney Andrew Condiles was recently published in the York County Bar Association’s York Legal Record with an article titled, Pennsylvania Supreme Court to Consider Treble Damages in Consumer Finance Case
 
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court agreed to hear a case in which a trial court refused to award a plaintiff treble damages after the defendant was found to have violated the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law (UTPCPL). In Dwyer v. Ameriprise Financial, Plaintiff alleged that they’d been persuaded to purchase a life insurance policy based on Defendant’s intentional misrepresentation regarding the premium thereof. As a result, Defendant was found to have committed the common law torts of Negligent Misrepresentation and Fraudulent Misrepresentation while also violating the UTPCPL.
