When faced with a problem, Matt’s credit union clients know they count on him to provide a real solution.

Matt works with credit union collection managers and other decision makers in Pittsburgh and throughout the state of Pennsylvania to evaluate and find effective solutions for their business and legal needs. He spends the majority of his time strategizing with credit unions to build and implement consumer collections programs, including the collection of outstanding receivables, delinquent accounts, and charged-off debts.

While many of Matt’s clients are involved in the day-to-day collections, compliance, and corporate governance operations, many of them lack in-house counsel resources. For those clients specifically, he provides general counsel services to help ensure their operations are in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. He enjoys being a “problem solver” and he approaches each situation by first researching to fully understand the problem, and then analyzes the options before crafting a unique solution that meets his client’s expectations.

Matt serves on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Creditors Bar Association, where he collaborates with other industry professionals to share best practices and influence statutory and procedural changes that impact the rights of credit unions and other financial institutions.

In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and coaching his childrens' sports teams.
