— May 22, 2020 — Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, a full-service creditors' rights law firm for nearly 90 years, congratulates shareholder Stuart A. Best for being elected as the chairman to the Michigan Bankers Association, Michigan Traveling Circus, Nominating Committee.  

Operating out of the firm’s Detroit office, Stuart focuses his practice on probate recovery and real estate default matters.  He has received some of the highest accolades in the industry, including being Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated, selected to the Top Lawyers list by DBusiness Magazine, and selected to the Michigan Super Lawyers list. Stuart remains very active in the legal community, with memberships to the State of Michigan Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association, as well as being a consultant to the Michigan Bankers Association’s Retail Lending Committee. 



The Michigan Traveling Circus is an organization of vendors who travel throughout Michigan to raise funds for scholarships and to provide products and services to Michigan banks. The Traveling Circus members meet at MBA Group Meetings, at MBA Conferences, and at the annual George Harding Scholarship Golf Outing to network with their peers and to raise money to fund the George Harding Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are awarded to college juniors, seniors, and first-year graduate students in a financial related curriculum. The first scholarship was awarded in 1984 and since that time, the fund has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships to young adults pursuing a career in finance.
