Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA (Weltman) is pleased to announce that employees Dawn Mead and Kara Soppelsa have become affiliate members of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA), in addition to joining the CMBA Green Initiative Committee. Weltman continues to support the CMBA Green Initiative to help lessen the legal profession’s impact on the environment.
The Green Initiative Committee’s purpose is to promote efficient energy use and other environmentally responsible programs (“green practices”) for adoption by law offices/departments and the CMBA itself in an effort to lessen the cumulative effects on the environment. The Green Certification Program is the center stone of the initiative. The CMBA certifies participation firms as Green that can demonstrate they are in compliance with the established certification criteria.
The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) is a nonprofit organization, operating as a center for legal professionalism in the region and promoting the highest ethical and professionalism standards. It was formed in March 2008 by the consolidation of the Cleveland Bar and Cuyahoga County Bar Associations, which brought together more than 135 years of rich history. Its vision is to advance the greater Cleveland legal community as a world-class center of professional excellence and model of community service.
