Ricardo L. Johnstone

On any given day, Ricardo’s clients are faced with real estate loans that go into default. If all loss mitigation efforts with their borrowers have failed, they turn to him to help recover the balance of the loan through a foreclosure. Ricardo assists with the sale of the asset by gathering and preparing all the necessary paperwork, obtaining the judgment, and coordinating the sale of the property.  

Ricardo typically works with default servicing managers from banks and other financial institutions, both locally and on a national scale. His goal is to ensure the foreclosure is completed in an efficient manner, and to obtain maximum recovery with minimum expense. 

Ricardo’s quick-wit and accessibility have proven to be a real asset to his clients. He once had a client contact him 15 minutes before a foreclosure sale was set to begin. Ricardo immediately answered the phone and learned that his client had mistakenly overbid on the property, and was requesting to make a last minute revision. After a few failed attempts to reach the sheriff’s office to update his client’s bid, Ricardo decided to take the matter into his own hands. He recalled that the sale was being conducted just a mile away from his office, so he immediately sprinted there by foot. Arriving just in time to revise the bid, he was ultimately able to save his client nearly $10,000. 

Born and raised in Chicago, Ricardo has called Cincinnati home for the last 20 years. He spends his free time with his wife and young children. He loves being a dad, and finds great joy in watching his kids discover new things.
