Having worked with a large, national banking institution for more than nine years, Robert is well-versed in the various regulations and statutes that influence the consumer collections process. At Weltman, he represents financial institutions of every size, including banks and credit unions, and helps them successfully recover on defaulted consumer accounts.
Prior to joining Weltman in 2021, Robert was an associate attorney with another creditors’ rights law firm. During this time, he oversaw case files from demand stage to post-judgement enforcement. Before this role, Robert climbed the corporate ladder at one of the nation’s largest banks, holding various positions that contributed to his superior financial expertise. As a Senior Consumer Lending Litigation Specialist, he collaborated closely with outside counsel to litigate residential foreclosure and consumer collections cases.
Robert graduated with cum laude honors from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. He’s also a Buckeye, having completed his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University. Outside of the office, Robert enjoys a good book in addition to watching and playing hockey with friends.
