Experience and Expertise
The attorneys who manage the GCPG have 40+ years of experience in representing the rights of various cities and governmental agencies and handling governmental collections matters.
Statewide Geographic Coverage
WWR maintains five regional offices throughout the state of Ohio: Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Brooklyn Heights and Grove City. Together, these locations employ over 750 Ohioans and over 65 practicing attorneys. With our statewide infrastructure, we are capable of providing direct representation in any Ohio courtroom.
Reputation and Results
Since we appear in court on a daily basis, we know the intimate procedures of each system and judge in the jurisdictions in which we practice. Our GCPG staff has developed relationships with Court personnel who appreciate the fact that they will be dealing with experts with a proven track record of handling matters in a timely and professional manner.
Large for Resources, Small for Intimacy
The GCPG is dedicated solely to the representation of all sizes and types of governmental bodies. Working with us will provide you with the resources of a large, national law firm and yet the intimacy of a local one. We believe in personal attention and are always accessible via phone and e-mail to respond to questions and to provide updates. We will travel anywhere we are needed for court appearances, meetings, educational seminars or any other programs for our clients.
Internal Handling
WWR has the ability to accept files in paper format or electronically. Every account is reviewed for debtor bankruptcy or death in an attempt to obtain sufficient information so that we can direct our collection efforts in a positive manner while protecting the client from exposure. Letters are generated shortly after each file is set up and after each account has been identified as non-probate/non-bankrupt. Demand letters are promptly forwarded to an attorney for review and signature. The initial attempt to contact the debtor(s) is made soon after the set-up date. We may then pursue various alternatives to recovery including:
· Negotiations
o Payment In Full/Payment Terms
o Compromise/Settlement Agreements
· Dispute Resolution
· Suit/Legal Collections
· Attachment of Non-exempt Assets
Reporting and Communication
WWR utilizes the Internet for e-mail and document transmissions. Through our password-protected ClientNet, accessible 24 hours a day, we provide access to our account work product, progress reports detailing collection work, performance statistics and inventory lists.
