Obtaining a position at Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. (WWR) can be an exciting and fulfilling experience as you develop your legal career. We offer formal training programs for summer interns and fall associates that include practice area rotations, court exposure, legal practice training through assigned projects, file review and shadowing of attorneys. The programs focus on providing a positive, realistic experience of the legal profession. Summer interns spend 12 weeks at WWR and are assigned to a mentor who provides support and guidance during employment. In addition to the hands-on training, interns are invited to participate in a social program that allows for the opportunity to build relationships with coworkers and clients. The summer intern program focuses on providing a well-rounded education of the legal system and a realistic picture of what it means to practice law..
Fall associates begin their careers with WWR in August after having taken the bar exam. While waiting for exam results, these associates are legal researchers and are assigned to mid-level associates who act as mentors. The theories taught in school are put to practice immediately, as each associate spends time working in the various departments at WWR. In addition, associates accompany attorneys to a variety of court proceedings in order to receive exposure to the legal process of the various practice areas at WWR. Fall associates receive exposure to different departments and legal experiences, which assists in assigning them to the department that best suits their interests, abilities and skill level.
