W. Cory Phillips

W. Cory Phillips practices in Consumer Collections, with a focus on the Governmental, Healthcare and Utility Collections Groups and is based in the Cleveland office. He earned a B.A. from the College of Wooster in 2002 and a J.D. cum laude from Capital University Law School in 2007 where he was Order of the Curia. During law school, Cory externed with the Ohio Supreme Court in the chambers of Justice Maureen O'Connor and also with the Ohio Attorney General's Office in the Court of Claims Division. He also served as Associate Notes Editor of the Capital University Law Review. A member of the American, Ohio State and Lorain County Bar Associations, Cory is licensed in the State Courts of Ohio. He is a member of the Health Care Law Subcommittee of the Ohio State Bar Association, the New Lawyer Subcommittee and the Real Estate/Foreclosure Section (Co-Chairman) of the Lorain County Bar Association, and the Payment for Services Committee of the Ohio Health Care Association. Cory was selected for inclusion in 2012-2014 Ohio Rising Stars and is on the Young Professional Board for the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House.
