Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. (WWR) was founded in 1930 as Gardner & Spilka, a practice that focused on assisting local banks with recovering debt. In the mid-1950s, Maurice Weltman became a partner and the firm name changed to Gardner, Spilka and Weltman. With the addition of Maurice’s son, Robert, the firm continued to grow the creditors’ rights practice. In 1979, the firm became Weltman, Weinberg & Associates Co., L.P.A. to recognize the contributions made by Alan Weinberg. Our current name, Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A., was adopted in 1994 to acknowledge the efforts of Allen Reis in developing the Columbus, Ohio office.
